Arsenal v Middlesbrough – Live on Setanta Sports 1, k/o 5:15pm
Having failed to win their past three league games and with Man Utd applying the pressure, Arsenal need a victory against Boro to reignite their title challenge. The Gunners now hold a two-point lead but titleholders Man Utd have a game in hand, so should Arsenal and United both win on Saturday, at home to Middlesbrough and away to Derby County respectively, Alex Ferguson’s side can go to the top by defeating Bolton at Old Trafford four days later. Middlesbrough are currently on a two game losing streak after their decent run during January and February. With the threat of relegation still hanging over their heads, Boro are likely to set their stalls out for a draw, which against a free-flowing Arsenal is not a bad result. With the Gunners at home, bookies have priced them as favourites for this match, with VC Bet offering 2/7 on a home win, while Middlesbrough have been priced at 8/1 (Better) to get something at the Emirates.

Fulham v Everton – Live on Sky Sports 1, k/o 1:30pm
Fulham have a 100% home record against Everton in the Premier League, however, you wouldn’t bet on that staying intact as the Cottagers continue their seemingly inexorable slide towards the Championship. Man Utd won the last game against Fulham at a canter and they genuinely looked a league apart. It would seem that Roy Hodgson simply can’t snap Fulham out of their current malaise. Meanwhile, Everton have been fantastic this season, with the seeds of David Moyes’ seven year rebuilding plan are baring fruit as they look like real contenders for the Champions League place. You can bet that Everton will be even more determined to secure fourth place after their agonizing penalty-shootout defeat against Fiorentina which saw them out of the UEFA Cup. With six on the trot achieved over the Toffees in west London, it would be a lucky seven indeed for the haunted home side. Bookmakers have placed Everton as favourites, pricing them at 11/10 (Centrebet) to get the away win, while VC Bet have priced Fulham at 13/5 to reinstall some pride at the Craven Cottage.

Man City v Tottenham – Live on Sky Sports 1, k/o 4:00pm
Traditionally, Spurs have always triumphed in this fixture, winning seven and drawing one in the last eight fixtures. The last match between these two sides was in the Carling Cup and saw Spurs win 2-0 Overall, Tottenham have been in good form since Ramos took over, with the latest result the 4-0 hammering of West Ham. Spurs have become unpredictable recently with over-performing in games they should struggle in, and vice versa. Recently, City have hit a brick wall and have lost key players such as Richards and Elano through injury, and Petrov through suspension. City have won once in the last eight and haven’t scored in their last three games, their last five league games at home have seen two defeats and three draws, it would appear that their early season home form has deserted them. Whatever the end result should be, this promises to be a fantastic game of football. Man City have been priced as favourites at 6/4 (Better), meanwhile Tottenham have been priced at 9/5 by Centrebet to take all three points.

Birmingham slipped to their first defeat in five games at Portsmouth on Wednesday despite battling back from two goals down. Newcastle have been on a torrid run of late, with their last win coming against Fulham on 15th December. Kevin Keegan has a real fight on his hands turning around the Newcastle’s fortunes; the Magpies are officially the worst team in all four football divisions based on results. If Newcastle have any hope for survival, they will have to get three points from this encounter. Newcastle have been priced as slight favourites at 1/1 (Better), meanwhile Birmingham have been priced at 13/10 by VC Bet to take the points.
